[Page updated 6/3/2010]

Punderson State Park Naturalist

Megan Acord is the Punderson State Park Naturalist. She graduated from Lake Erie College in 2008 with a B.S. in Environmental Science. In 2010 she obtained her M.S. in Biology from John Carroll University. She is currently attending Cleveland State University to attain her PhD in Regulatory Biology. Her interests include reptiles and amphibians (especially terrestrial salamanders), stream and wetland ecology, conservation biology, and evolution. During the spring she somehow finds the time to prepare the Nature Center and the programs for the upcoming summer months. She conducts weekend programs throughout the summer which are free to all. They include nature crafts, short informative talks, as well as numerous activities and hikes throughout the Park. Please visit the link below for program dates and times as well as any other information from the Park Naturalist.
